for international sporting competitions in 1964, and its 1969
introduction of "Speedtimer," the world's first automatic
self-winding chronograph
Chronograph measures up to 30 minutes of elapsed time
in 1/8-second increments
Column wheel and vertical clutch mechanism allows for smooth,
stutter-free movement of the chronograph hand while providing
longer wear and efficiency, and maintaining the power reserve
better during chronograph operation
Black dial patterned to suggest the running track at the legendary
Hayward Field, site of WCH Oregon 22, with low-reflection surface
and contrasting gray subdials for enhanced legibility
LumiBrite hands and markers
Specially designed pushers and crown for ease of use
Screwdown see-through caseback
